MEDIA HOUSES:
Yobe State is currently served with a Radio and Television Stations. The Yobe Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) and the Yobe State Television (YTV) have State-of-the-art equipment with excellent reception that is received not only in the State but in all the neighbouring States and the Republic of Niger, Chad and the Cameroon. In addition, all major National Newspapers and Magazines including the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) have operational Correspondent Offices in Damaturu, the Yobe State Capital. In addition the NTA Damaturu has started test transmission. These media houses provide the needed linkage between the State and other parts of the country in particular, and the world in general.
